Sports Day 2017

By Monty Pierce Jones, Year 11

This years Sports day was a wonderful day of great participation and friendly competition. Being at the new venue of Bout-du-Monde really added to the overall experience. Sports day this year felt a lot more important but still very fun. The new rocket throw event was well-received and was an interesting addition to the day. My personal favorite was the long jump. The stands created a great atmosphere for all the finals, we even managed to get some chants going! Although the organization was tough at times, it always worked out. We now have some records that will stand for a number of years. Definitely a pleasant and active away day from LGB.

“It was great to finally have a proper venue and incorporate more events and really get some school spirit going. I’m really happy to leave the school in the record books!” –Jack O’Neill

“Sports day is a great opportunity to get to know your classmates in a fun way. It was a great idea to do sports day at Bout du Monde as the racing tracks were really professional. Overall, sports day was really fun and I hope students in Ecolint enjoyed it as much as I did.” –Apollonia Bourron

“I felt happy to have won the 11th grade sprint finals. Although, I still feel I can improve and become faster.” –Alex Ouma
