Interviewer: All of you are welcome to today’s special discussion. A soon-to-be professional basketball player who has immense potential to be great will be sitting down with us. His name, Melchior Hughes. Today, we’ll talk about what kept him going and helped him get to the level he’s at now.
We’ll start with this first question. What made you want to play basketball for a living and make it your career?
Melchior: Basketball was always one of my favourite games when I was young. When I watched games on TV, I felt a strong link to the sport and a lot of excitement about it. But the guys were the ones who really pushed me. I want to be like them because of how hard they worked, how talented they were, and how happy they made their fans. I want the same rush and energy that come from playing in front of a big crowd and making a difference in the game. This desire and love of the sport drove me to work hard and try to make a living as a basketball player.
Interviewer: That’s a great push. It’s amazing how much a person’s love for a sport can drive them to do great things. Let’s move on to our next question. During your basketball career, was there someone in particular who had a big impact on you?
Melchior: My family. They helped me along the way by cheering me on, watching my games, supporting me, and giving up their own time and money so I could reach my goals. Even when things were really hard, their unwavering faith in my skills gave me the strength to keep going.
We’re glad you told us about your inspiring trip. It’s clear that your drive, desire, and the support of your family were key to your success. We hope that your work goes well and lasts a long time!
