When I look up at the sky,
I wonder how the moon and the sun
Feel about each other.
They live in the same universe,
Yet not in the same world.
The moon only faces the sun at night
When the sun is at rest.
The sun will never heed the moon
Even though the moon admired the sun every night,
Dreaming about the day
When the sun finally noticed the love the moon felt so strongly.
But what if the sun did notice?
The moon would never be more than a mere asteroid.
A mere asteroid is unworthy of intertwining with the sun.
It is too dim to catch the sun’s attention,
Too little to deserve the sun’s affection.
