In collaboration with the Cystic Fibrosis Fight Club (a student-run club), Juice Stuco will be organising the annual talent show. The CF talent show is an event to show off the student’s breath-taking talents, but also to raise awareness and money for the fight against cystic fibrosis, a disease affecting a patient’s lungs and digestive system. Those diagnosed with cystic fibrosis have to undergo medical treatments that sometimes take several hours a day.
Cystic fibrosis is a rare inherited disease caused by the CFTR gene (Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator) and causes mucus to build up in the lungs and the pancreas. This can cause a CF patient’s life-span to be severely reduced.
This year, talented students will send a 30 second video of their talent to Juice Stuco, and following a vote, the two most voted-for individuals will have the chance to perform in the auditorium at school. After their performance, there will be two jars in GB101 (Ms Kretzmeier’s class) corresponding to each of the top two contestants where you can put your money in whoever you think deserves to win. Whichever contestant that has the most money in their jar wins!
All the proceeds raised in the jars will go towards cystic fibrosis research in Switzerland, so encourage your friends and peers to help fight for an important cause!
