By Madeleine Gabriele, Y 9
Sometimes I close my eyes and think of all the things I could do.
Sometimes I dream wonderful dreams with just me and you.
Sometimes I think about what I’d do if you were still here,
And I know I’d make the whole world around us disappear.
But now you’re gone, far away from this hatred and crime.
And I hope that the world you’re now in is divine.
For the world that you’re in might be six feet under,
But that world must be peaceful, and full of wonder.
I always said, “I never know what I’d do without you.”
Yet now I’m alone and my nightmare came true.
But you are still here, always alive in my heart,
So no matter the distance between us, we’ll never be apart.
