We walk connected as if one being,
Each finger held by one child squeezing.
But, unfortunately, we cannot stay,
And in their mother tongue, I cannot say,
“I’m sorry, but we have to start leaving.
Let’s wipe our tears, and let’s stop this grieving.
Don’t worry, I know all will be okay.
In memories, we won’t be far away”.
So instead, I accept the tears streaming,
Smile big to show it’s them I’ll be missing,
And pray
I’ll return on another day.
