by Annabelle Veith & Ana S. Reyna, year 12
On Tuesday 26 March, the Centre des Arts opened up their doors for another annual IB (Y13)
Visual Arts exhibition!
For the vernissage, as a tradition, the year 12s whom take IB art helped out. Family, friends, and other people who were interested came to support and see what the students produced. At the end of the evening, the Y13 students were congratulated and were gifted a cake..
Not only that, but the students thanked all the visitors and their teachers for the two years of support and work that they put into the exhibition. They presented their teachers, Dr. Seck and Mr. Gilles, with flowers and wine. They also awarded Patrice with a bottle of wine for his support and help during their journeys.
The students then also shared some words about their IB Art adventures. They joked about the availability of arts supplies, the intense walk up the stairs, and the rare lifts on the elevator.
The evening was very special, colorful, and brought a sense of unity between the students and their loved ones. The students had the opportunity to share their emotions, opinions, and culture through their artworks.
Their work is very passionate, personal, and an insight into the creative minds of the student body of LGB. The exhibition will be up until the 4th of April 2019. Feel free to pay a visit, it will not disappoint you.
