LGB is full of incredibly talented people, ranging from all sorts of talents to fascinating hobbies. However, we often don’t get to appreciate their work enough. Lilitha, for example, has an amazing voice, and performs in many singing performances. So we decided to ask him some questions.
When and how did you decide to start singing?
“I’ve been singing my entire life and I don’t remember a time when I haven’t been singing. Especially coming from South Africa, music is large part of the culture there.”
How do you pick songs to learn?
“I believe the best way to pick a song, is to choose a song that you will enjoy singing, because I think the audience will enjoy the performance more if they see that the person is happy singing the song.”
What is your process for learning a new song?
“In order to prepare for a performance I usually print out the lyrics of a song and just listen to the song on repeat for days, all the while looking at the lyric sheet.”
Are there any exciting events that you will be participating in that are coming up?
“Right now I’m not preparing for any performances, but if there’s another talent show this year I would definitely participate.”
