This Thursday marks the 5th CF Night of Talent!
The annual CF talent shows were started in 2015 as a CAS project by Niminsha Mundade (class of 2016), as an evening to celebrate the amazing talents of LGB students whilst also helping raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis. This year Sera Gurzumar and I, Anna Takala are organizing the evening.
We’ve joined forces with Our Voice for Rare Disease, so that we can all together be more successful, so we can donate more to research on three rare diseases, one of which will be Cystic Fibrosis, of course.
It’s been a fantastic experience working on the show, and we’re honored to be responsible for such an important event for LGB! It’s been great fun to organize, and we cannot wait to let the school see what we’ve prepared for you. The talent show is a huge hit every year, and we hope to make it the biggest hit ever yet!
In the past, there have been mind-blowing singers as well as memorable non-singing acts – such as a dramatic (and funny) performance of the famous balcony scene of Romeo and Juliet, some stand-up comedy acts, and some incredible dance numbers. This year, we’re seeing a peaking number in band performances, as well as compositions by our own students! There will be a total of 6 compositions, never heard before! It will be a debut for many of our talented songwriters, so you know this is truly LGB’s very own, personal talent… you won’t see all these performances together anywhere else, so come and celebrate the true talent of LGB!
Below, in no particular order, is a list of this year’s performers!
Matthew Savory, Qingyang Zhang, Hannie Durham-Arnold, Alice Naja, Stella Cunliffe, Eva Ciss, Cara Burke, Giddeon Lucard, Charles David Isautier, Veer Gujral, Frankie, Ana Sofia Reyna, Sneha Doda, Domingo Mujica, Finnur Ricart, George Hogge, Max Kennan, Mara Maftei, Lilitha Mafu, Yasmine Sultan, Julien Reyl, Jasmine Johnston, Aislinn DeButlier, Reid Radwan, Remy Radwan, Ethan Burke, Benjamin Schmale, Luca Piergentili, Cameron Pappas, Roxane Ischi, Shirin Chorfi, Sofia Hernandez, Georgy Tuaev & Reza Murfi.
As you can tell, there are incredibly many performers this year! There are many bands, and performances with several students in one. There will be 19 acts, in which some of our talented musicians will perform several times.
All proceeds from the show will be combined with the rest of the proceeds from all the evening’s events by our voice for rare disease to three rare diseases’ research in Switzerland. So, come celebrate the talent of your classmates whilst also contributing to an important cause!
