Titled “La Grande Broadcast”, it is the missing arrow of LGB’s quiver of creative outlets. To this day, we have the LGB Express (written), Eco Live TV (visual), however, nothing auditory.
That is where my project comes in. La Grande Broadcast, as of October 2018, is the official school radio –run by the students as always! The radio will broadcast (in the form of podcasts) a whole array of different shows. There will be interviews, discussions and debates, as well as storytelling (in the style of This American Life) and musical performances (in the style of Tiny Desk Concerts).
I have begun by creating a specific show, available on SoundCloud now and Apple Podcasts soon, called “Music to my Soul”. The whole premise of this show is to expose the guest-stars’ souls through art, through the decoding and unravelling of emotional attachment to art. For example, on the pilot episode, my guest chose five songs that are important to him. During the show, we listened to the songs and dove into why they are so important. By listening to an episode of “Music to my Soul” you will not only hear great music, but you will also end up with a deeper understanding for the soul of the guest.
The network is looking for passion and heart, trying to find people that are have deep interests and who are willing to enlighten an audience. So, if anybody reading this article would like to have a show on La Grande Broadcast, or simply be a guest on Music to my Soul feel free to contact me at elias.rimer@learning.ecolint.ch
