LGB has always been a school which prided itself on successful sports team. And this year has been nothing but the same with our teams in rugby, basketball and soccer all being very successful so far this year. Here is a look at some of the results of different sports teams at LGB.
The boys soccer team:
The Moyen won the ADISR tournament by a score of 3-2 in the final.
The Senior participated in two tournaments so far this year. At Lisbon they came 4th and at Tenero they came 3rd.
The girls soccer team:
The girls team still has not played a tournament this season as they’ve had to cancel tournaments last minutes for different reasons. They have however played a few matches against CDL and Nations. They tied with CDL after losing to them last year. This was described by one of the players in year 11 Lia Meyohas as “one of our biggest accomplishments”.
The boys Basketball team:
The moyen and seniors both participated in tournaments and got 2nd place losing to Nations.
The girls Basketball team:
The Girls Basketball team have played in two tournaments so far. The ADISR in which they arrived 4th and in the SGIS in Aiglon in which they also arrived 4th.
The Rugby team:
The RUgby team has participated in many tournaments including one at LE Rosey where they arrived 3rd for the U16 and 1st for the U18.
This was a look back on the start of the year for our sports team which as always have performed at a very high level.
