By Alia Hirji, Year 11
I have a theory that humans are made of stars,
We see ourselves as small shiny people in cars,
But in reality we are not only small dots in a sky,
We are a luminous, powerful masses of light who die,
We are emotional, selfish, loving, and intelligent creatures,
Humans are so fascinating to me with all our features,
I have a theory that humans are made of stars,
Our eyes twinkle of stardust when pure happiness is ours,
We are fragile, yet strong, problematic yet extraordinary,
Humans sparkle freely until settling down to marry,
I have a theory that humans are made of stars,
Even if a large amount drink away their problems in bars,
We shine brightly but have the power to explode,
We are beautiful, but we can easily destroy everything we’ve sewed,
I have a theory that humans are made of stars,
I have a theory that humans believe the world is ours.
